Right before midnight, Monday evening, Allegheny County Police arrested a 17-year-old boy, Zaijuan Hester.
Hester was with Antwon Rose, also 17, the night Rose was shot to death by police.
RECAP: Police stated that Antwon Rose had been seen in a car that fit the description of a car that was involved in a drive-by shooting. They had shot a 22-year-old in the stomach. That person also shot back which struck two bullets in the back of the car. When they pulled the vehicle over, they arrested the driver. Police also found two guns in the car. The two others in the car, Rose and Hester got out of the car and started to run away. This is when Officer Michael Rosfeld shot Rose in the back three times. Antwon Rose was taken to the hospital, however, he did not make it, and he passed away.
Hester was found by police yesterday, but his arrest was for a different cause. He was with a 19-year-old girl at the time of arrest.
Police arrested the girl for theft in Hill District, and Hester was arrested because he had filed off “an ankle monitoring bracelet” according to CBS.
Hester was also charged with connection to the drive-by shooting that happened last week.
