HOMESTEAD, Pennsylvania — A 27-year-old man was shot and killed after leaving his girlfriend’s house Wednesday night in Homestead, police said.
The accident took place shortly before 11:30 p.m. along East Park Way. Police said they initially found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds and rushed him to the hospital. He died early Thursday morning.
The victim’s name has not yet been released.
“It was learned through friends and family that the victim had departed his girlfriend’s home en route to his mother’s home,” Allegheny County police said in a written statement. “At this point, the motive for the shooting is not exceptionally clear.”
No suspects have been identified. The case is being investigated by the county homicide detectives.
