Ram and the Uconnect 5 System
Standard on the 2022 Ram 1500 Big Horn will be the Uconnect 5 System. This would include the Rebel, Laramie, Longhorn SouthFork, Limited 10th-Anniversary Edition, and TRX. It will leave out the entry-level Tradesman and Tradesman HFE trims.
The Ram Truck Infotainment System
The UConnect 5 system, on the Heavy Duty Side, is going to be standard on 2022 Ram 2500 and 3500 Big Horn/Lone Star Models and beyond. This would include the Power Wagon, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited trims. In fact, that’s a lot of infotainment tech for the lower trims. Then it just leaves the Tradesman as the only trim without standard Uconnect 5. It will be presumably without an option for Uconnect 5. Although that detail isn’t just yet specified.
UConnect 4C is Replaced
Moreover, the Unconnect 4C is being replaced by the Unconnect 5 in the Ram truck lineup. It is four times faster, the 5 for the Ram, and has three times more memory. It does equate to more features, content, customization, and services. These would be for a top-draw intuitive user experience (UX) for Ram truck owners. This would include the graphics, colors, themes, and fonts that will be unique to trim levels. Plus the users can further customize their home screen for towing, hauling, and off-roading.
