Now that summer is here, there are lots to do with friends and family! With all the festivals and events coming to Pittsburgh in the next three months, you will never run out of things to do.
For those of you who are animal lovers, you’re going to love the next locations I will give you.
Even though a zoo is very common in most cities, one thing that you can’t find everywhere is a butterfly garden. Luckily, Pittsburgh has the Butterfly Forest starting from June all the way through September.
The best part about where the butterfly event is being held is that it is at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, two in one! Both are must-sees when you’re in Pittsburgh this summer.
The gardens provide all type of beautiful and colorful plants and flowers. The forest will give you a tour alongside the different types of butterflies that will light up the whole place. For only $15 at most, you can see and maybe even touch one the little flying beauties.
The city’s subway will also make it easier to get places without having to worry about finding a parking spot or pay for one!
If you’re going to spend the day with kids, take a trip to the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. They will love it and you will also enjoy your time with all the workshop equipment that can teach something for people of all ages!
As for the festivals and events coming to Pittsburgh this summer, you’re in for a blast!
The Three Rivers Art Festival is a great place to spend time. They have delicious food, lots of art and music. The festival lasts for 10 days and each day has a different theme!
If you’re a major foodie, the Picklesburgh food event will be in town from July 20 to July 22 this summer. The event will offer different food stands with a variety of choices.
During the beginning of August, don’t miss out on Three Rivers Regatta festival! This event is open to all ages and is even pet-friendly. The festival includes an unlimited amount of water adventures, food, music, pet games as well as marketplace exploring.
