Early reports are coming in about what Pennsylvanians can expect on the spooky holiday, in terms of both the weather expectations and crowd expectations. Additionally, a recent study was conducted around the country to rank the cities on how good they are to celebrate Halloween, and one Pennsylvania city made the top ten list.

Pittsburgh was ranked number 10 for U.S. cities for Halloween celebrations.

The study was conducted by StorageCafe. According to the study, Pittsburgh found its way to the top ten list for a few reasons. Mainly, the city has a number of great spooky spots to visit. This includes graveyards, historical sites, and personal home decorations. Furthermore, the city has a very high location based Google search history. For similar reasons, Philadelphia nearly made the list, coming in as number thirteen. The study also explained that Pittsburgh has a lush history of town based scary stories.

What kind of weather can we expect for trick or treating time?

Well, weather reports are finally coming through accurately to suggest what the weather may be like for Halloween Day and Night. Pennsylvania has still been hit with higher temperatures, so we can expect a high of 81 degrees for the day. This would be a record making high temperature for the state for Halloween. In the evening while trick or treating is going on, the temperature is expected to drop a little, getting down into the 70s making for perfect trick or treating weather. This will allow kids in most costumes to trick or treat in peace with their costume on, whether it is too warm or too cold.

Thursday is expected to be a high for this week with its high of 81. This makes Halloween the hottest day of the week. In the daytime, children may be warm wearing their costumes to school, but the evening festivities will be milder and more tolerable.

We hope you all have a fun, happy, and spooky Halloween!
